Monitor’s duties, set out by Parliament, do not include having a role in the NHS complaints process. We are unable to resolve complaints about NHS foundation trusts, NHS trusts or primary care trusts.
This leaflet explains how you can make a complaint to a foundation trust or NHS trust about health care services. It describes the organisations, such as the Independent Complaints and Advocacy Service (ICAS) and Patient Advocacy and Liaison Service (PALS), which can help you to make your complaint. It also describes what Monitor will do to help you ensure your complaint gets to the right organisation.
The leaflet also explains how to make a complaint about Monitor.
