Amendments to Applying for NHS Foundation Trust Status - Guide for Applicants (July 2010)

This document provides an update to Chapters 5 and 6 and Monitor’s appendices of the 2008 Guide for Applicants and supersedes the relevant chapters in that version. Appendix B12 of this document was updated in June 2011 to bring it in line with the Compliance Framework 2011/12.
In February 2010, Monitor launched a consultation on updating the Guide for Applicants with respect to the assessment of quality governance at applicant NHS foundation trusts. The majority of respondents were supportive of enhancing the quality governance review process as part of the assessment process and were broadly satisfied that the guidelines and framework were clear. In light of the consultation responses received and other refinements described in the summary of consultation responses.
We published a new version of Applying for NHS Foundation Trust Status: Guide for Applicants in April 2013.
